The Evolution of Laderhossen:
"I got to go to my house...my casa...mi casa...my hosen (as my dutch friends say)...my laderhossen....Wait is that German or Dutch? Well whatever"
"I've seen him in less then a singlet." GASP. "You've seen him in his laderhossen?!"

Then we went to the Basketball game...
Good ol' PG-we lost. BUT! it was a close game and Austin Heder tumbled into some drums with a Brighten Bengal. The symbols clashed-uh, what?! Yeah that doesn't only happen in the movies. After the game and much laughter, some of us went to Lindsey's and watched Zoolander. I don't really know what to think of that movie.
" A Eugoogalizer...do you think I'm so stupid I don't know what a Eugoogaly is??"

To: all the brave souls who know how to effectively dress shop
Since I have been such a crappy blogger lately you wouldn't know this, but, I got asked to Sweethearts!!! I am pretty stoked! So, in celebration me, Haley, and Kendall went dress shopping. You would think that this would be super fun and easy. Think again. It is actually like the hardest thing of my life. Needless to say I came home frustrated and dressless.
But then Cammie, Haley, Madi, and Kenal came over and we watched The LIGHTNING THIEF. My spirits were immediately raised. Percy Jackson, you are one attractive fellow.

Snarky comments to follow...
"Your mom would be Persephany. Oh wait, that's not what I meant!!!"
"Your feet are always the awkward part of my bodies."
"I will protect all your water based elements. Like watermelon."

A weekend in review

fRiDaY- I hung out with Megan after school. We planned on...but not really...doing math. Of course, that didn't happen. Let's be honest-I didn't even bring my backpack into her house. haha.
Then at about seven Cammie, Haley, and me went to see Megamind. I feel asleep-with my feet up in the air. It was pretty comfortable. But, as for the movie, the parts I saw were really good. I am half tempted to go see it again and actually stay awake for all of it. Then after that we went to go get Texas Ring doughnuts at Macey's, but there were only these little mini things. As you can imagine, it was very upsetting. For real-go big or go home.
Also, I finally received the sisterhood of the traveling shirt!!! I will most definitely be sportin' that beaut Monday!
SaTuRdAy- Went to the ward basketball game where we dominated, 31-10. We were all just on fire. There was a bruise obtained.
Then, at 3, me and Emily went to Isaac and Omer's game. There was a lot of people we knew so it was way fun, and pretty hilarious. They won. After the game we went on driving adventures and to Baskin Robbins. I almost choked, then Emily almost choked, then we left.
Emily gave us the exclusive tour of Orem Library. More driving. Saw several of Emily's grandma's houses. Isaac's house. Grocery store. Emily's house. Hair salon and 17 again. Home.
tOdAy- It was stake conference and it was amazing. They had great speakers, and it was just so refreshing. Two of the talks they had were by recent converts, who just had a feeling that they needed to come to Utah. Two weeks later they were baptized. I love the Gospel.

A Chicken Leg!!!

Jackman kills me. I went to a HOSA meeting today and while we were discussing what we were gonna compete in, I look over and good ol' Jackman is looking into a oversized box of chicken, then he holds one up and says, "a chicken leg, a chicken leg!!!" hahaha, oh Mr. Rod Jackman...The funny part is, is that I'm pretty sure I am like the only one who saw it. I am sure someone will eat the chicken leg don't worry.
Also, I was walking through the halls with Emily, and
I just happened to get the urge to stuff myself in her locker...so I did.
Then of course Isaac comes sauntering around the corner. He laughed at me.
I have bad luck with corners.
Then I went to Human Biology.
We put together a skeleton; my many hours
of watching Dr. Gee payed off, cause I knew where the Hyoid bone went.
Mystery solved.
We finished off class by learning about people with Arnold's disease.
This girl totally could touch both her shoulders together.
Awesome.
Crazy.
Hilarious.

I smelt summer

So, today I got in my car to drive to work, and the most wonderful thing happened...it smelt like summer. It was the weirdest thing. It was like a flashback or I guess a flashforward. In any case I loved it.

And it went a little something like this...

6:15 AM--Alarm went off, I pressed snooze.
6:35 AM--Alarm went off again, I woke up.
7:30 AM--Went to bishops store house with YW/YM. It was awesome! There was a kid there that knew like every fact in the book. Yeah, he was pretty cool.
10:30 AM--went to Sadie's and sat on her stairs. They were more comfy then you would think. Naturally, Emmy kept us company. haha
11:00 AM--A bunch of us went to the Space Center for Sadie's late birthday party. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! We basically lived in alarm mode, but no need to fear we made it out alive, and probably blew the crap out of an Orien Pirate Ship. No big deal.
1:30-4:30 PM-Returned to Sadie's and ate pizza, and delicious cookie dough cupcakes (courtesy of Kenal's momma). We watched/napped through A Knight's Tale. Went home.
5:00 -10:19 PM--Hung out with Isaac, Emily, Jake, and Rebbecca. Oh my lanta...we should not be allowed in the same car together. First of all, we lost Emily and so we drove around searching for her. Found her. There was a lot of yelling at Isaac involved in that. Went to Macey's got a small yogurt twist in a cup without the cone. It was boysenberry/apricot mango, and it was delightful.
Then we went back to Isaac's house, watched previews. Got a VCR, went to Jake's watched...ish...Jurassic Park. The ish comes from the fact that for more then half the movie we were playing paramedic and yoga instructor. I got manhandled--but mostly just fireman carried. It was fun. There will be some sore backs. Then went back to watching the movie-me and Isaac talked about medical stuff the whole time, Emily hid under a blanket. Then on the way home we stopped at a church and Isaac attempted to teach me how to drive a stick. Bless his soul. I may of given him a small hernia, but he should be okay. Poor lil' fella.
11:12 PM--Now here I am.
Great Day.

A little glimpse on the past and a step towards the future

Last day of seminary with Taggert. :( Oh, Bro. Taggert...he is debatably the funniest man alive. We had such a good lesson today. We basically just talked about our memories and how to move on to bigger and better things. It was probably one of the best lessons I have ever had in seminary. I have never really been huge on change and tend to live in the past. I like new things but never wanna let go of the old. I might even still have the stuffed dog that I got when I was little...but you don't know that.

I know that the next semester is gonna be awesome, but that doesn't mean I won't miss the old one. Bro. Taggert told us about how he doesn't think anything is coincidence and how Heavenly Father always has who we are with and where we are in the front of His mind. I believe it.
But, he also told us about how the scriptures always say to remember and how remembering provides us with personal revelation.

So, it's time to store memories, and to look on to the future. It's gonna be amazing.

Life is good even when it's not.

I don't know what it was, I don't know why-but today was just not my day. I usually never cry in front of my friends, but today I just let loose in the car to Kenal.

I think I have just had so many things building up lately that finally they just came out. Last year was so easy and I thought that they would pretty much always be like that. What a silly Sophomore I was.

Life is getting hard-and that is okay. Because, you know what, I LOVE it. Of course I don't love the bad days but I love that I find myself enjoying life more. It really is true that you don't know how good something is until you have experienced the opposite. And even though I felt like I was just going to break into a million pieces today, I know that things are going to be just fine. There will be more days like this, but I know I will always have the Gospel, my family, and friends to lean on; and that there is always going to be a better day around the corner.

Nichole Nordeman's, "I AM"

Pencil marks on a wall
I wasn't always this tall,
You scattered some monsters from beneath my bed,
You watched my team win,
You watched my team lose,
You watched when my bicycle went down again,

And When I was weak unable to speak,
still I could call You by name,
and I said “Elbow healer, Superhero,
come if You can,” and You said “I am”

Only 16, life is so mean, what kind of curfew is at ten PM
You saw my mistakes, You watched my heart break
Heard when I swore I’d never love again

When I was weak, unable to speak,
still I could call You by name,
and I said “Heart-ache Healer, Secret-keeper,
be my Best Friend” and You said “I am”

She's the Man, Sydney White, Snuggies and STRAWING

Cammie got her car back!!!! For the record, it is a Accord. Not a Toyota Corolla or a Civic. So, in celebration of her re-found freedom we went to Wendy's to try the new fries and get a frosty. The fries needed a little more salt from the sea in my opinion-but they were good. Also we blasted Owl City. I LOVE OWL CITY. Even if all there songs sound basically the same.
We then commenced to go back to Cammie's house where we watched She's the Man. We pretty much watch it every day. Then Haley came over and we watched Sydney White. Cammie had a Viking blue snuggie con pockets! I liked that snuggie. We found out that keys feel really good when rubbed on your knee and back and that Cammie and Haley's wallets are the same except for the interior.
Today, I went to Spontaneous with Branson, Kenal and Josh. It was a blast. Branson drove his jeep so clearly I was more then ecstatic. We went to Purple Turtle and created a disaster of receipts, napkins, straws, and foam cups. Branson showed us that you can draw on receipts with your fingernail. It then led to us drawing on cups with straws; competitions with rigged officiating; then to painting with pink sauce on cups; then strawing on napkins and also a variation called blow art; and finally baseball with straws and pieces of rolled up napkin. Kenal hit the booth next to us-we ran. A ruckus indeed.

I can't help but smile :D

This was one of those days that makes you so greatful for life.
~I woke up-not too tired.
~Then, no frost to scrap off on my car windows.
~Walked in the school and it was a reasonable temperature. Not to hot, not to cold-just right.
~Went to newspaper and partied.
~Went to AP US History with Newman (who is probably one of the most hilarious men alive). We told stories and watched Newsies. Can you ask for a better class?
~Kendall ran into a pole-I missed it. But, that is okay because I got the story.
~Went to an assembly. I love assemblies.
~Went to Financial Lit., where I played with a spinny world pen for like the whole time. Let me repeat that...a SPINNY WORLD PEN. Only the coolest of all writing utensils.
~Went to lunch. Lunch is always entertaining. Me and Cammie played with water bottles (which for some reason is a common occurrence), Haley's water log, took pictures with Haley's iPod, and poked a lunch bag with a pen.
~Went to Pre-Cal and actually understood it.
~Walked out of the school smiling, because with a day like this you just can't help but smile.

Grannies are a funny species...

Oh my golly gumdrops. I witnessed a phenomenon, the likes of which has never been seen before. A..granny...in a parking lot...with a bun on top of her granny head...who was NOT happy. So, here's what happened, me and Kenal were walking out of Macey's, and while I experienced the greatest moment of my young life, Kendall Celeste Parker had her head up in the clouds. She missed it. The granny previously mentioned, walked in back of a moving van. Clearly displeased she proceeded to tap with her arthritic (or assumed to be) finger on the back of the golden van. Then gave the driver a look...a look that cannot be rivaled by those under..say..60..perhaps 83. Quickly she scuffed away into the hazardous Macey's.
So, the moral of the story is...watch out for grannies. Kendall can't wait to get old.
